Pilot Suffers Minor Injuries After Plane Crashes in Woods Near Conway Airport
A single-engine plane crashed in a wooded area near the Conway-Horry County Airport in South Carolina on the afternoon of September 18. The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. off of El Bethel Road. The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital. Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene to manage the situation. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
