Pilot Seriously Injured in Piper Cherokee Crash at Saratoga County Airport
A single-engine plane crashed while landing at Saratoga County Airport on Friday afternoon. The aircraft, identified as a 1966 Piper Cherokee, was carrying only the pilot. The 80-year-old pilot from Wilton sustained serious injuries in the incident. He was subsequently transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and will investigate the cause of the crash.
