Pilot Rescued by U.S. Coast Guard After Small Plane Crashes Off Florida Coast
A pilot was safely rescued after a single-engine Piper PA-46 aircraft crashed into the water off the coast of Florida on Monday. The U.S. Coast Guard's St. Petersburg station received a mayday call reporting engine trouble before the incident. The pilot was the sole occupant of the aircraft when it went down near the St. Pete Pier. A Coast Guard response boat crew quickly located the pilot in the water. The individual was recovered without any reported injuries and was in good condition.
