Pilot Killed in Agricultural Plane Crash in Northwest Fresno County

A pilot has died after a single-engine crop-dusting plane crashed in a field in northwest Fresno County on Saturday morning. The incident occurred near Highway 180 and San Diego Avenue, close to the Mendota airport. The Fresno County Sheriff's Office confirmed the pilot was the sole occupant and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have identified the aircraft as an Air Tractor 502B. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and will be leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
