Pilot Killed After 1974 Cessna Stalls and Crashes in Bethany, Missouri
A pilot has died following the crash of a small aircraft in Bethany, Missouri, on Wednesday afternoon. The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as 70-year-old Charles R. Gunter of Spring Hill, Kansas. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. at the South Harrison County airport. According to the initial report, the 1974 Cessna 172M stalled before crashing near the airport and subsequently caught on fire. The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and is set to investigate the fatal accident.
