Pilot Hospitalized After Small Plane Crashes Near Northeast Philadelphia Airport
A small, single-engine aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Northeast Philadelphia Airport on Monday. The plane, identified as a Piper PA-28, came down and struck a fence near the airport perimeter. The pilot was the only person on board the aircraft. First responders transported the pilot to a local hospital for treatment. The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
