Pilot Dies After Single-Engine Plane Crashes in Saratoga County
A pilot has died following the crash of a single-engine plane in Saratoga County, New York. The victim was identified as 65-year-old David C. Unwin of Caroga Lake, who was the sole occupant of the Beechcraft C23 aircraft. Unwin had departed from Northampton Airport on Saturday afternoon. The wreckage was discovered on Sunday in a heavily wooded area in the Town of Providence after a search operation. Both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the incident.
