Pentagon Selects First Winners for 'Replicator' Drone Initiative
The Pentagon's Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) has announced the first five companies selected for its drone dominance competition. This initiative is part of the broader 'Replicator' program, aimed at rapidly fielding thousands of autonomous systems to counter strategic rivals. The selected vendors include Anduril, Leidos, Northrop Grumman, RTX, and Integrated Solutions for Systems. These companies will provide small uncrewed aerial systems (sUAS) capable of complex autonomous missions, including swarming.
