Pennsylvania State Police Helicopter Collides with Parked Cessna at Carlisle Airport
A Pennsylvania State Police helicopter collided with a small plane on the ground at Carlisle Airport on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred as the helicopter was landing, and its main rotor blades struck the wing of an unoccupied, parked Cessna 172. Officials have confirmed that there were no injuries to the two troopers on board the helicopter or anyone on the ground. The helicopter sustained damage to its rotor blades, while the Cessna's wing was also damaged. Both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) have been notified and will be investigating the collision.
