OMV Backs New Austrian Research Center to Advance Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Austrian energy company OMV, in partnership with Vienna Airport and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), is establishing a new research center named 'innoveat'. Located at Vienna International Airport, the center will focus on developing and scaling up technologies for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The research aims to produce advanced biofuels from sources such as green hydrogen, CO2, and biomass. This collaboration represents a significant investment in accelerating the market readiness of SAF. The initiative is a key step in supporting the aviation industry's long-term decarbonization goals.
