NTSB Investigates Fatal Beechcraft Crash After Takeoff From Spirit of St. Louis Airport
A single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza V35B crashed minutes after departing from the Spirit of St. Louis Airport in Chesterfield, Missouri. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released a preliminary report on the fatal accident. The pilot was the only person on board and did not survive. According to investigators, the pilot was attempting to return to the airport shortly before the aircraft went down in a wooded area. The NTSB and the Federal Aviation Administration are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
