NTSB Investigates Engine Malfunction on Amazon Cargo Jet After Miami Emergency Landing

An Atlas Air Boeing 767 cargo plane operating for Amazon made an emergency landing at Miami International Airport following a reported engine malfunction. The aircraft, bound for San Juan, Puerto Rico, turned back shortly after takeoff when video captured flames coming from its left wing. The plane landed safely without any injuries to the crew members on board. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has since launched an investigation into the incident. A post-flight inspection discovered a softball-sized hole in the aircraft fuselage above the affected engine.
