NTSB Cites Pilot Error in Fatal 2019 Addison King Air Crash
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has released its final report on the fatal crash of a King Air 350 at Addison Airport in June 2019. The incident, which killed all ten people on board, occurred shortly after takeoff. According to investigators, the probable cause was the pilots' failure to properly control the aircraft after a loss of thrust in the left engine. The report details how the crew mistakenly retarded the throttle for the operational right engine. This critical error led to an aerodynamic stall from which the aircraft could not recover.
