Northrop Grumman Unveils X-RQ-73 Shepard Hybrid Flying Wing Drone for US Army Program
Northrop Grumman has officially revealed its new X-RQ-73 Shepard, a Group 3 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). The aircraft features a hybrid-electric, flying wing design, enabling it to achieve over 18 hours of flight endurance. Developed for the U.S. Army's Future Tactical UAS program, it is designed for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. The Shepard boasts a significant payload capacity of over 200 pounds and can operate from unprepared surfaces without a runway.
