North Dakota State Legislator, Family, and Pilot Killed in Small Plane Crash
A single-engine Piper PA-28 Cherokee has crashed in Utah, killing all four people on board. The victims included North Dakota State Senator Doug Larsen, his wife, and their two young children. The pilot, who was flying the family home after a visit, also perished in the incident. The plane reportedly went down shortly after taking off from Canyonlands Airfield near Moab. The pilot had radioed the tower about an emergency before attempting to return to the airport. The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are now investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
