No Injuries After Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Mesa Canal

A small, single-engine aircraft made a successful emergency landing in Mesa, Arizona, on Tuesday afternoon. The pilot reported engine trouble shortly after taking off from Falcon Field Airport. The plane landed safely on a canal bank near Gilbert Road and Main Street. Two people were on board the aircraft, and fortunately, neither sustained any injuries. The plane incurred only minor damage, and the incident is now under investigation by the FAA and NTSB.
