New Aviation Training and Storage Facilities Planned for Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport
A new development is proposed for a 4.6-acre site near Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport. The project includes a 40,000-square-foot hangar for aircraft storage and a separate 20,000-square-foot building. This second facility will house an aviation training center and office space. Led by a partnership between Fly MKE, LLC and GDI, LLC, the development aims to address a regional shortage of modern hangar space. The project is currently pending approval from the Milwaukee County Board for the land lease.
