New Artwork to Immortalize Hagerstown's Rich Aviation History
A new painting is being created to celebrate Hagerstown, Maryland's significant contributions to aviation. The project is a collaboration between the Hagerstown Aviation Museum and the Washington County Arts Council, featuring the work of artist Linda Barnhart. The artwork will depict iconic aircraft manufactured locally by Fairchild, such as the PT-19 trainer, the C-119 Flying Boxcar, and the A-10 Thunderbolt II. This initiative aims to preserve and honor the region's important aerospace manufacturing heritage for future generations.
