New All-Cargo Carrier Air Central to Launch US Operations in July
A new all-cargo airline, Air Central, is scheduled to commence operations in the United States this July. The carrier will be based at Orlando Sanford International Airport and will launch with a single Boeing 737-800 converted freighter leased from AerCap. Its inaugural route will connect Orlando with Toledo Express Airport in Ohio, targeting the e-commerce and express freight markets. Having received its Part 121 certification from the FAA, the airline was founded by industry veterans. Air Central plans to expand its fleet and network to meet growing cargo demand in the US.
