Navigational Equipment Failure Disrupts Flights at Sumburgh Airport

Significant flight disruptions are occurring at Sumburgh Airport in Shetland due to a navigational equipment fault. The issue was reported on Tuesday morning by operator Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (Hial). As a result, numerous flights have been delayed, with at least one Loganair service from Aberdeen being diverted to Kirkwall. Engineers are currently working to resolve the technical problem. Hial has issued an apology to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the ongoing delays.
