NASA Spacewalkers Prepare International Space Station for Major Solar Power Upgrade
NASA astronauts Tracy C. Dyson and Matt Dominick are conducting a spacewalk outside the International Space Station. Their primary mission is to prepare the station's starboard truss for the future installation of a new ISS Roll-Out Solar Array (iROSA). This is part of an ongoing, multi-year effort to augment the orbiting laboratory's power generation capabilities. The upgrade is critical for supporting future scientific research and commercial activities aboard the ISS. The spacewalk also includes tasks like collecting microbe samples from the station's exterior.
