Museum of Flight Partners with Peninsula School District to Launch High School Aviation Program
The Museum of Flight is collaborating with the Peninsula School District to introduce a new aviation-focused career and technical education program for high school students. Called the Aeronautical Science Pathway, the program is available at both Peninsula and Gig Harbor high schools. It aims to address the nationwide shortage of pilots and aviation professionals by engaging students early. The curriculum includes courses on private pilot ground school and unmanned aircraft systems, utilizing the museum's FAA-approved resources. This initiative provides a direct pathway for students interested in pursuing careers in the aerospace industry.
