MSC Solidifies Black Sea Presence with Controlling Stake in Ukraine's Yuzhny Terminal
Global shipping leader MSC, through its terminal operating arm Terminal Investment Ltd (TiL), has acquired a controlling stake in the Yuzhny container terminal in Ukraine. The deal finalizes a process that began with a concession agreement in 2020. This acquisition consolidates TiL's control over the key Black Sea facility. The investment underscores long-term confidence in Ukrainian trade, despite the ongoing conflict. The Yuzhny terminal has been a crucial hub for exports, particularly for agricultural goods, since the establishment of the grain corridor.
