MSC Acquires Controlling Stake in Ukraine's Yuzhny Container Terminal
Global shipping giant MSC, through its terminal investment arm TiL, has purchased a 51% controlling stake in Ukraine's Container Terminal Yuzhny. The terminal is located in the deepwater port of Yuzhny, near Odesa, a critical hub for Black Sea trade. This acquisition was approved by Ukraine's anti-monopoly committee. The move solidifies MSC's strategic presence in the region's maritime logistics network. It is also viewed as a significant vote of confidence in the future of Ukraine's port infrastructure.
