Marshall University Aviation Program Receives $2.5 Million in Federal Funding for New Hangar
U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito has announced $2.5 million in federal funding for Marshall University’s Bill Noe Flight School. The grant, awarded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will finance the construction of a new 15,000-square-foot hangar at the West Virginia International Yeager Airport. This new facility is designed to support the university's growing aviation maintenance and flight training programs. The investment is seen as a crucial step in addressing the national shortage of pilots and aviation technicians. Officials also highlighted the project's potential to drive economic development in Charleston and the surrounding region.
