Lufthansa Confirms Business Class Overhaul for Airbus A380 Fleet
Lufthansa is proceeding with a significant upgrade for the business class cabins on its returning Airbus A380 aircraft. The current 2-2-2 seating configuration will be replaced with a new 1-2-1 layout, granting every passenger direct aisle access. This new product is a modified version of the airline's 'Allegris' seat, adapted for the A380's unique upper deck structure. While it represents a major improvement, it will not feature the larger suite-style options found on other aircraft. The first retrofitted A380 is expected to be in service later this year, with the entire fleet conversion completed by the end of 2025.
