Lufthansa Cargo Commences Operations at New State-of-the-Art Frankfurt Hub
Lufthansa Cargo has successfully launched the first phase of its new air cargo hub at Frankfurt Airport as scheduled. The new building, featuring a 4,000 square meter footprint and an automated material handling system, is now operational. This marks a significant milestone in the LCCevolution infrastructure programme, aimed at extensively modernising the Frankfurt hub. The facility is designed to enhance handling efficiency, particularly for bulky and special cargo. Full modernisation of the entire cargo centre is anticipated to be completed by the early 2030s.
