Lufthansa Bolsters Short-Haul Fleet with New Airbus A320neo and A321neo Aircraft
Lufthansa has expanded its fleet with the delivery of a new Airbus A321neo and an A320neo. These modern aircraft are slated for the airline's short and medium-haul routes. The additions bring Lufthansa's total A320neo family fleet to 65 aircraft, consisting of 37 A320neos and 28 A321neos. The carrier has an additional 71 aircraft from this family on order as part of its ongoing fleet modernization. These new jets are significantly more fuel-efficient, reducing CO2 emissions by up to 20% compared to older models.
