Loganair Flight Declares Mayday Over Technical Issue, Lands Safely in Aberdeen
A Loganair flight from Aberdeen to Sumburgh declared a mayday emergency shortly after takeoff on Tuesday. The Saab 340 aircraft, carrying 30 passengers and three crew, reported a technical issue. The plane circled to burn off fuel before returning to Aberdeen International Airport. It landed safely and was met by emergency services as a precautionary measure. All 33 people on board were unharmed, and the aircraft will undergo a full engineering inspection.
