Lockheed Martin Secures $371M US Air Force Contract for Advanced Laser Research
Lockheed Martin has been awarded a major contract by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory valued at over $371 million. The agreement focuses on the Laser Advancements for Next-generation Compact Environments (LANCE) project. This initiative will drive research, development, and demonstration of advanced high-energy laser technologies. The primary goal is to enable and mature these laser systems for future integration onto airborne platforms. Work on the contract will be conducted in Bothell, Washington, with an expected completion date of July 2031.
