Lilium Partners with Star Charge to Develop Advanced Charging System for eVTOL Jet
Lilium, the developer of the all-electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) jet, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Star Charge, a global leader in EV charging infrastructure. Through this partnership, Star Charge will exclusively develop and supply customized charging systems for Lilium's aircraft and associated vertiports. The system is being designed to meet the Lilium Jet's high-power requirements, aiming to achieve a full charge in approximately 30 minutes. This collaboration leverages Megawatt Charging System (MCS) standards and liquid-cooling technology to ensure efficient power transfer with a small physical footprint. This agreement marks a critical step in building the ground infrastructure necessary for the commercial launch and operation of the Lilium Jet network.
