Lilium Achieves Key EASA Milestone, Progressing Towards Lilium Jet Certification
German eVTOL developer Lilium has achieved a significant regulatory milestone by securing Design Organization Approval (DOA) from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). This approval is a critical step, authorizing Lilium to hold a type certificate for its all-electric vertical take-off and landing jet. The company is now one of the few eVTOL firms globally to hold both EASA and FAA G-1 certification basis for a powered-lift aircraft. With preparations underway for the first piloted flight tests and a substantial order book, Lilium is advancing its plans to commercialize the urban air mobility market.
