Liege Airport Cargo Volumes Surge 16% in First Quarter of 2024
Liege Airport has reported a significant 16 percent increase in cargo volumes for the first quarter of 2024, handling nearly 300,000 tonnes. The positive trend was also reflected in March, which saw an 11 percent rise with 108,000 tonnes of goods transported. This growth is attributed to the arrival of new customers and the return of previous clients. The airport's strategic focus on developing specialized cargo segments like perishables, pharmaceuticals, and e-commerce has also contributed to the strong performance. CEO Laurent Jossart highlighted the positive dynamic and the airport's ongoing commitment to its full-cargo strategy.
