La Compagnie to Wet-Lease Icelandair Boeing 757 for Newark Operations
French all-business-class airline La Compagnie is wet-leasing a Boeing 757-200 from Icelandair to cover its daily Paris Orly to Newark route. The temporary arrangement will run from May 30 to June 13, 2024. This is necessary while one of the carrier's Airbus A321-200NX aircraft undergoes scheduled maintenance. To maintain its service quality, La Compagnie will use its own cabin crew aboard the Icelandair jet. The wet-leased B757 is configured with 183 seats, a significant difference from La Compagnie's standard 76-seat layout.
