Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka to Step Down After Less Than a Year

Allan Kilavuka will step down as the Group Managing Director and CEO of Kenya Airways by the end of the year, a position he has held for less than eight months. Kilavuka was appointed on an interim basis in April 2024 to help stabilize the national carrier. The airline's board of directors has now initiated the process to recruit a substantive, long-term CEO. This leadership change comes as the airline continues its financial restructuring and recovery efforts. Kilavuka will continue to serve as the CEO of Jambojet, Kenya Airways' low-cost subsidiary.
