Jump Aero's eVTOL Tapped for High-Speed Emergency Response in North Carolina

Jump Aero has received a U.S. Air Force contract to develop its JA1 Pulse electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for emergency first responders. The project is a partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to study the feasibility of using the high-speed aircraft. The core concept is to fly a single paramedic to the scene of a rural emergency much faster than a ground ambulance can arrive. With a top speed of 250 knots, the JA1 Pulse is designed to deliver immediate, life-saving care while a traditional, equipment-carrying vehicle is still en route. This initiative is part of North Carolina's broader effort to integrate advanced air mobility into its transportation and emergency services network.
