Joby Aviation Partners with Cherokee Nation to Launch Air Taxi and Delivery Services in Oklahoma
Joby Aviation is collaborating with the Cherokee Nation and Oklahoma State University to establish an advanced air mobility network in Oklahoma. The partnership will utilize Joby's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft for the services. Operations will begin with cargo delivery, focusing on providing essential supplies to tribal health centers and communities. The long-term plan includes expanding to passenger air taxi services, connecting rural areas with urban centers. This initiative is part of the Federal Aviation Administration's plan to safely integrate this new form of air travel into the national airspace.
