JetBlue Selects Fort Lauderdale for New Airbus A220 Crew Base Opening in 2027
JetBlue has announced that Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) will be the site of its new crew base for the Airbus A220-300 fleet. The base, which will serve both pilots and flight attendants, is scheduled to open in January 2027. This move solidifies Fort Lauderdale's importance as a key focus city for the airline. The decision is part of JetBlue's network strategy adjustments following the end of its Northeast Alliance with American Airlines. Centralizing A220 crews in South Florida will support the airline's operations in a critical leisure and VFR market.
