Jet2 Announces New Base at Liverpool John Lennon Airport for Summer 2025
Airline and tour operator Jet2 has announced a significant expansion by opening a new base at Liverpool John Lennon Airport. This will be the company's 12th UK airport base, with operations scheduled to commence in the summer of 2025. The move is expected to create over 250 new jobs, including positions for pilots, cabin crew, and ground operations staff. From Liverpool, Jet2 will operate up to 54 weekly flights serving 20 popular leisure destinations across Europe. The new routes include popular holiday spots in Spain, Portugal, Greece, and Turkey.
