Jersey Airport's Main Runway to Close for Five-Week Resurfacing Project, Affecting Major Airlines
Jersey Airport's main runway will close for five weeks from 11 September to 18 October for a major resurfacing project. During the closure, all flights will be redirected to the airport's shorter, secondary runway. This operational change will prevent larger aircraft, like the Airbus A320 and A321, from landing. Consequently, airlines such as British Airways, easyJet, and Jet2.com are adjusting their schedules. British Airways will substitute smaller aircraft on the route, while Jet2.com has cancelled its entire Jersey program for the duration of the works.
