Japan Airlines Launches $50 Million Corporate Venture Fund
Japan Airlines has established a new corporate venture capital (CVC) fund capitalized at JPY 8 billion, which is approximately USD 50.8 million. The fund, named the "Japan Airlines & Translink Innovation Fund L.P.," will be managed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Japan Airlines & Translink Innovation. Its primary objective is to invest in global startups to generate new value and accelerate business creation. The airline will focus on areas such as enhancing the customer experience, digital transformation, sustainability, and regional revitalization. This strategic initiative aims to drive innovation within the aviation sector and related industries.
