Japan Airlines Establishes $50 Million Corporate Venture Capital Fund
Japan Airlines has announced the launch of a new corporate venture capital fund called Japan Airlines Ventures. The fund is being established with an initial investment of JPY 8 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 50.8 million. It will be operated in partnership with US-based venture capital firm Translink Capital. The primary objective is to invest in and collaborate with startups that can create new value and business opportunities related to JAL's core operations. This initiative is part of the airline's long-term 'JAL Vision 2030' strategy, aiming to address societal challenges and promote sustainable growth.
