ITA Airways has implemented a new AI-powered software to improve its operational efficiency and sustainability efforts. The tool, Pacelab FPO, calculates the most fuel-efficient flight profiles by analyzing numerous factors in real-time. By optimizing flight trajectories, the system aims to significantly reduce fuel consumption and associated CO2 emissions. This initiative is part of the airline's broader strategy to modernize its operations and achieve its decarbonization goals. The technology will initially be deployed across the carrier's long-haul Airbus A330 and A350 fleets.
