India's Aviation Giants, IndiGo and Air India, Brace for Major Leadership Transitions
India's two largest airlines are set for significant leadership changes that will shape the country's post-pandemic aviation landscape. IndiGo, the market leader, has announced that KLM President and CEO Pieter Elbers will take over as its new chief executive this fall. This follows the decision by current CEO Ronojoy Dutta to retire on September 30. Meanwhile, the newly privatized Air India is awaiting security clearance for its CEO-designate, Campbell Wilson. Wilson previously led Singapore Airlines' low-cost subsidiary, Scoot, and his appointment is a key part of the Tata Group's strategy to overhaul the national carrier.
