India's AMCA Stealth Fighter Program Sets 2026 Rollout and 2028 First Flight Target
India's fifth-generation stealth fighter program, the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA), has an updated development timeline. The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) confirmed the first prototype is expected to roll out by 2026. Following this milestone, the maiden flight is now scheduled for September 2028. The program aims to produce two variants, with the initial AMCA Mark 1 using the GE-F414 engine. A more advanced Mark 2 version will follow, featuring a more powerful, co-developed engine and enhanced avionics.
