Hyderabad Airport Commissions New Cargo Terminal, Doubles Annual Capacity
GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd (GHIAL) has commissioned its second cargo terminal, a new facility designed to handle both domestic and international freight. The terminal adds 150,000 tonnes of annual handling capacity, effectively doubling the airport's total cargo capability to 300,000 tonnes per year. Spanning 27,000 square meters, the new building features a dedicated Pharma Zone with temperature-controlled areas and advanced screening technologies. This expansion, operated by GMR Hyderabad Air Cargo, is a key step in positioning Hyderabad as a major cargo hub for South and Central Asia.
