Hitachi Energy and Eve Air Mobility Partner to Develop eVTOL Charging Infrastructure
Eve Air Mobility, an Embraer-backed company, has partnered with Hitachi Energy to develop charging infrastructure for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The collaboration will focus on creating a comprehensive ecosystem to support the unique demands of urban air mobility. Hitachi will provide its expertise in power grid technology, energy storage, and charging systems. This joint effort is considered a critical step in building the necessary ground-based infrastructure to enable future commercial eVTOL operations. The partnership aims to ensure that vertiports are supplied with stable and reliable power for efficient aircraft turnaround.
