Historic Snowbirds Tutor Jet Acquired by B.C. Aviation Museum
An original Canadair CT-114 Tutor jet from the Snowbirds aerobatic team is being added to the collection of the B.C. Aviation Museum. The aircraft, known as Snowbird 2 with tail number 114004, was part of the team's inaugural 1971 season. After being decommissioned, the jet is being transported from Trenton, Ontario, to the museum near Victoria International Airport. The museum will reassemble the historic aircraft for public display, preserving a significant piece of Canadian aviation heritage. This acquisition comes as the Snowbirds prepare to transition away from the long-serving Tutor jets.
