Hijack Scare Forces United Airlines Flight to Make Emergency Landing; Passenger Arrested
A United Airlines flight from San Francisco to Chicago was forced to make an emergency landing in Madison, Wisconsin, due to an unruly passenger. The passenger, identified as Aditya Singh, allegedly became threatening mid-flight, claiming to have a bomb and that he was being kidnapped. Law enforcement and emergency crews met the aircraft upon its arrival at Dane County Regional Airport. A thorough search of the plane revealed no explosive devices. The disruptive passenger was taken into custody and is now facing federal charges. The flight and its remaining passengers were cleared to continue to Chicago after the incident was resolved.
