Helicopter Carrying Iranian President Raisi Crashes Amid Heavy Fog
A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has crashed in the East Azerbaijan province. The incident occurred while the president was returning from a trip, part of a three-helicopter convoy. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was also reported to be on board the aircraft. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the mountainous, forested area. However, their search efforts are severely hampered by adverse weather conditions, including heavy fog, making the location difficult to reach.
